My Cardboard Box

My track
I found both of them easy to do. The instructions were clear enough, and i did not have much difficulty with this.

4-RESEARCH

This man in the video is modeling a remote. Therefore, i decided to depend mainly on these videos to learn how to make my buttons, and the weird curve of my remote.

in this website, this guy is also trying to model a wii remote with maya. I could also use his work, and compare mine to his. His is however not accurate. But i can still go through it n read people's comments and use it as a guide.

1-STORY
Rat was racing around the track one fine day. His competitors we really skilled. All of a sudden rat's car got into flames, and it crashed into the side of the track. He could no longer drive it. Luckily he saw a big Wii remote at the side of the track, he immediately grabbed it and used it as a skate board, and skated around the track. Although a mishap happened to him, he ended up finishing 3rd in the race.

2-SHAPE
I chose a wii controller to model. This controller seems fairly east to model, as it has a basic shape of a cuboid. However it has quite a number of details like the light, the socket to plug in the cable at the bottom of the controller, and a hole to attach a hand loop. There are also holes on the front of the controller where the speaker is located at. This might be time consuming. At the back of the remote, there is a weird-looking button, which i might have some problems with, when im doing my controller on Maya.

I would have to do a lot of beveling, as this is a user-friendly game controller, which doesnt have very many sharp edges. i would need to apply extrusion due to the weird shape of the remote. I would also need extrusion for the button at the back of the controller I would have to apply all the various techniques i have learnt in the past few weeks to complete this. I need to specifically take note of the gap between the buttons and the controller.
