Exercise 3: Prison & Toontown images
TOONTOWN 1
As can be seen in the pictures above, the prisons look more scary mainly because of the straight lines and the right angles. everything in the prison images are of a definite shape and size. For example, the windows of prison 1 are all of a uniform shape, and they are all the same distance apart from each other. The prisons are both very plain; they do not have very many decorations and such to make them attract people. The fact that prisons are meant for older, and much bigger people can be clearly seen from the massive amount of land space it is taking up- everything is of a larger scale as compared to the toontown images.
From the toontown images, we can clearly see that it seems more fun and enjoyable, and more childlike mainly because of all the odd shapes it has. It has a lot of circles and triangles. Most of the things in the toontowns are at an angle, and of a weird shape. For example, in 'toontown 2' you can see that the door is not rectangular. Or in 'toontown 1' you can see that all the windows all look slightly different from each other.
