Week 4: Lab 1 – E-Learning

Multitasking is something that almost everyone does, or have done at one point or another, in their lives. For example, something i used to do in primary school, is watching the TV and doing my homework. Well, that went well at times, n at other times, it did not go very well, as sometimes my grades get affected because i was distracted by the TV while completing that assignment.

Another common thing among teenagers, especially those who need to use the internet and laptop or computers to complete their assignments, is face-booking, or chatting while completing their various assignments. I feel that at times, this could be considered as a good kind of multi-tasking because sometimes facebook or messenger can be used as a medium for friends to ask each other about their assignments, or even get some help with it. Some might even go to youtube. This may be be again to find for helpful videos to help out with their assignments. Some other times, it poses as a distraction, just like how playing games, poses as a distraction from our assignments.

I always feel a sense of accomplishment whenever i have completed something. Especially if i have completed my assignments before the date line. However, i do agree that the quality of my work may not be excellent since i would have obviously been multi tasking while doing my assignment.

i feel that learning 3D and design is different from learning programming bacause, 3D requires precision and experimentation. However, programming involves a standard set of codes that have to be altered slightly to achieve the desired outcome.

Yes, Learning is a complex operation for an individual. However when he or she finds manages to get the hang of the specific subject, and finds out about his preferred way of learning, it would not be a complex operation anymore. This is because different people have different ways in which they learn better.

I agree that communication is essential for a business to go well, for team work to be effective, or even for a relationship to work out. i disagree with the paragraph stating that communication "is an ongoing struggle" Yes, verbal communication in lacking in this century, however we are replacing that through text messaging, online chatting, and emails.

I definitely feel that our lecturers should focus on our work attitude and out preferred learning styles because that would benefit us greatly. For example if students prefer learning through watching more videos, rather than doing quizzes online, or doing worksheets, then they would obviously do better in that subject by watching more videos related to that subject.
